Medical Corps Army

The Pakistan Army has announced the induction of new ‘M’ Cadets for the medical corps army, who will join the program in the 4th and last year of their MBBS program. A Medical Cadet continues his studies in the medical college where he is enrolled until he has completed the MBBS program. Cadets must still abide by Pakistan Army Act, 1952, rules, regulations, and orders.

Cadets will receive PKR18,583 as a monthly stipend for selected applicants. Medical Cadets obtain a maximum of 222,996 in a year as compensation for their medical education expenses after they are commissioned in the Army. They can thus receive up to 1,114,980 for completing their educational goals for MBBS.

In one month after MBBS, the Army Medical Corps School & Centre Abbottabad offers 22 x weeks Basic Military Training (BMT), after which the Short Service Regular Commissions (SSRC) are inducted into the Military by GHQ PA Directorate.

Participants may register from August 02, 2021, through September 09, 2021. An M cadet will be commissioned in the AMC after successfully completing his medical education and meeting all other requirements of the scheme.

Qualification: 4th or Final Year Student of MBBS of any Medical College recognized by PM&DC/ PMC

Age: 20 to 26 years (as of 25 July 2021)

Ineligibility Conditions

  • Having been expelled from any academy or training institution of the armed forces.
  • Withdrawn from any bonded college or institution of the armed forces.

Important Points

  1. In this Scheme, a cadet should continue to study in the medical college where he is enrolled until he completes his medical degree, and during that period he should adhere to the Pakistan Army Act, 1952 and rules, regulations, and orders issued thereunder.
  2. Upon successful completion of his medical academic training and basic military training, and upon satisfying other requirements of the scheme, he will be commissioned in the AMC.

Further Selection

The GHQ Selection Board will announce the dates and locations of the intelligence/personality tests to short-listed candidates through the website and by a letter of invitation. Final interviewees are required to undergo Medical Fitness Evaluations at the closest CMH. Candidates will be selected based on their overall performance at GHQ.

Military Training

22 x weeks Basic Military Training (BMT) will be conducted at Pakistan Military Academy.

Study and Stipend

  • Students will remain enrolled in their respective medical colleges until their medical graduation course is completed.
  • After completing his medical education and basic military training, M Cadet will be commissioned as a captain in the Army Medical Corps.
  • A stipend of Rs 18,583/- will be paid to selected M Cadets every month.
  • M Cadets will also be entitled to receive a lump-sum payment that does not exceed Rs 222,996/- per annum as a reimbursement of expenses incurred on their MBBS studies prior to joining the program.

Pakistan Army has announced online applications for Pak Army Aeronautical Engineer in Captain Direct Short Service Commission Jobs 2021. Through DSSC 2021, patriotic individuals can apply to join the Pak Army as a captain as an Aeronautical Engineer (Aerospace & Avionics) in the Corps of EME. From July 12, 2021, to August 06, 2021, applicants can apply online for the Pak Army Direct Service Commission.

Academic requirements

  • Students must have completed 16 years of formal education (BS/BE) in the above mentioned discipline from a PEC/HEC recognized institution in Pakistan/ abroad with a 2.5 CGPA  out of 4.0 or 62.5% marks in annual systems. When there is a foreign degree, an equivalent certificate from HEC must be presented.
  • All grades are 2nd Division/ Grade C or higher.
  • A candidate should have 4 years of engineering experience in the above fields.
  • Applicants may have only graduated from PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) recognized institutions or foreign institutions recognized by PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council).
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a degree and 2-3 years of work experience
  • Candidates with specific higher qualifications are eligible, even if they have been rejected twice by the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for courses at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) or the equivalent Naval or Pakistan Air Force (PAF) courses.
  • A candidate who has been rejected for Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) long course or equivalent courses and postgraduate courses can avail of one more chance for postgraduate courses only.
  • Candidate’s may also apply with “Hope Certificates” from heads of universities/ initiations. The final degree/ transcript must be submitted by 15 Oct 2021 or else they will not be considered for final merit.

Verification of Degree/ Educating Documents.

The candidates who qualify for the preliminary selection process at AS&RCs (Army Selection and Recruitment Centers) will be required to attach a copy of their degree/ transcript duly verified by PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) with their application.

Further Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates will be notified directly via the website and call up letters when they are called for the Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) test/interview. General Headquarters Selection Board (GHQ) will interview Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) recommended candidates in Rawalpindi.

There is no Traveling Allowance/ Daily Allowance (TA/DA). General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board candidates will undergo a full range of medical tests in different hospitals as they desire. General Headquarters (GHQ) will make the final selection based on individual performance.

Basic Military Training

The selected candidates will get basic military training of six months at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

Bond

Fitness and Medical Test in Pak Army, PAF, and Navy

Medical Test in Army

A true soldier is a person of physical fitness, mental strength, unlimited endurance, and great stamina. The physical fitness and medical test requirements are almost the same in all three Pakistani armed forces: Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy & Pakistan Air Force.   • Running test: 1.6 km in 7 minutes and 30 seconds. The speed here is 12 km/h.
  • In 2 minutes, 15 pushups, which is 8 seconds per pushup.
  • Two minutes of pull-ups (chin-ups), which is 40 seconds each.
  • 15 sit-ups (abdominal) in 2 minutes, which takes 8 seconds per sit-up.

Physical Test Requirements

Physical tests may have different demands for various forces depending on factors such as age and gender. Age-related physical standards are relaxed as the age goes up for every age group. Additionally, the requirements for female candidates are also relaxed in this regard.

In Pakistan Army, both general duty medical officers and specialists are not required to take physical tests upon induction. However, it is a mandatory requirement in the Pakistani Navy and Pakistani Air Force.

  5. An ENT specialist will examine your ears, including monitoring for eardrum damage.

MEDICAL TEST FOR PAKISTAN AIR FORCE GDP (Fighter Pilot)

Pakistan air force’s fighter pilots (GPD branch) undergo the toughest medical fitness test in this regard. During this special medical test, that is hosted at Masroor Air Base Karachi.

A hospital is located on that base, where a candidate spends almost three to four working days. These are the steps for testing a general duty pilot/fighter pilot (GDP). If you do not belong to a GDP group, the tests may be less challenging and fewer in number).

  • Urine and blood tests.
  • Chest X-ray.
  • Doctors who specialize in ENT (ears, nose, and sinus) should do one of these checks.
  • There is a hearing test in which the patient is given headphones on both ears and instructed to press the button on each panel if they hear a beep in either ear.
  • Physical examination (height, weight, chest measurement).
  • Surgical Exam.
  • ECG.
  • An examination of the heart by a physician.
